Good news everyone! After giving away custom shirts and posters and toys for the past few years, we’ve finally landed at the logical conclusion: custom devices! Today we are happy to announce the launch of Android Limited, a special edition line of devices from Android and Me available only to you, the loyal reader.
We’re kicking off the series with a one-of-a-kind Motorola XOOM, powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2. The XOOM is WiFi-only and has had its entire back laser etched with a custom design from our own @angiedoes. I could talk almost forever about how cool this was to make.
When I said one-of-a-kind, I meant it. We’ve only got one of these things. The art was made specifically for this project, and we won’t be using it again. Whoever wins this thing will have the only XOOM like it. Ever. The design consists of orgami-inspired triangles and concentric lines, labeled simply in the corner, Android and Me with NVIDIA.
