Microsoft Xbox Live dashboard preview program

The graves sit as full, as one should expect to see, after rain, after war, after liberty. The update will allow you to test out thew new and improved UI – with and without Kinect – as well as cloud storage for your game saves, deeper Facebook integration, and the new “Beacon” system.

Once live, the update will allow users acces to Kinect voice and gesture controls, Facebook sharing, cloud storage for game saves and Xbox LIVE profiles.

Microsoft didn’t make any promises, but it was noted in the post that other applications and features may be made available as the preview program moves forward.

One particularly nice feature to the beta test is that it will allow testers to stay in touch and still play with all of their old friends on the old dashboard.

Also of note, unlike one of Microsoft’s other preview program rollouts, you should still be able to interact with your friends by way of party chat and private chat after receiving the update. What’s a month’s wait when you have all of these upcoming games to play?
